Israel,
Galilée,
Deep red colour, still slightly dark purple towards the core, ruby red and rather high viscosity and concentration it seems. Nose is displaying some maturity, it is actually some complex nose here, of tobacco, dark berries, almost a hint of truffle. More in the style of almost Cabernet with the; dark plum, dark cassis aromas, fine spiciness and some hints of leather. Quite traditional style without too much new oak. Rather full bodied on the palate, it still has quite a clear tannic presence, it feels like it has a few years of aging so the tannins are just starting to integrate now. Otherwise a rather warm, hot climate style of Cabernet it seems, with plum, cassis and dark cherry notes. Quite intense and full-bodied. Slightly traditional spiciness in terms of leather, some gamey notes. You feel that ripeness as well, because towards the finish it has some exotic spiciness; almost like violet and mint. I find this quite nice actually, I would really like to drink it today, but I think it can certainly go on for a long while. It certainly has some maturity to it. I like the multi-layered and complex spiciness on the finish, a very nice wine.
