Austria,
Niederosterreich,
Medium deep, straw colour, still youthful with a green hue. Generous nose. Barley ripe stone fruit there, with some more ripeness with yellow fruit. There are some stony notes, hint of minerality. With fine spiciness of ginger, lemongrass, lime and a floral component. The palate still appears a bit on the austere side. I think like most 2014 now, so there is an elevated acidity. Still quite elegant fruit, but barley ripe stone fruit. Still a phenolic presence of lemon and lime zest. Medium weight here but it does have a good length and a lot of acidity on the finish. Good purity of fruit but a little restrained today, like most wines from this vintage. It should certainly develop quite well.
