France,
Bordeaux,
Quite deep and intense colour. Still fairly youthful with a black-purple core, slightly lighter rim. Pure nose. Good intensity here. Mainly on the fruity side. Not a lot of oak present. I really like this dark, towards cassis, dark plum. So high ripeness, but there is still a slight herbaceous, some aromatic herbs there, like sage and mint, adding a slight freshness to the equation. Really full-bodied and good gripe here. I think this is a finely balanced wine. As it is offering mainly that juicy dark fruit, and again that cassis, plum notes. Well underlined by a nice level of acidity. We have good grip and extract, but the tannins are rounded. It appeared rather young at first, but I think this one still has a few years, it has gotten some more roundness. So a really fine example in this Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot blend. Which is ripe but still with a good level of freshness. Long and lingering finish and very fine drinkability today.
