Italy,
Piedmont,
Youthful with a pale straw colour, a slight green tinge. Nose is fairly discreet, feels more like a neutral variety; not neutral in a negative way, but more on the slightly nutty mineral side than the overtly fruity side. Some notes of citrus zest and almond. Classically dry palate with a fresh acidity, rather elevated acidity; we have some of those almondyflavours going on on the palate, a slight sensation of tannin or citrus bitterness, giving a lift. It’s rather light in terms of body and length; it’s lingering for a while, more on the medium towards long finish I would say. No noticeable oak. Still youthful. A lighter style that should preferably be consumed fairly youthful, in its youth. Classically bone-dry finish, appetizing.
