Dark ruby red colour with a mature tawny rim. Intense nose with some maturity displaying smoke, dried herbs, truffle, wood, Kirsch and ripe dark fruit. Powerful and structured with intense tannin, starting to soften, layers of earthy and truffle-infused cherry and cassis with a long and spicy finish. Plenty of character, could still develop and soften in bottle.
