Tenuta Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Gresy – Gaiun Martinenga – 2011

Bright light ruby with a tawny rim. Pure and floral nose with some mature notes, wild berries, cherry, tobacco and spicy notes of star anise and clove. Good grip and volume, fine grained tannin, sweet red fruit, cherry and plum with peppery and anis-like notes, elegant fruit with a long lingering finish, good drinkability, still some tannin on the finish, but good layers and complexity.
