Inky dark purple core and hue. Ripe nose with layers of dark fruit and generous amounts of new oak. Dense palate with high extraction, some sweetness, peppery dark fruit, chocolate, slightly port-like with a slight angularity, plenty of oak and a warm finish. Ambitious but slightly alcoholic and sweet with high extraction.
