France,
Sud Ouest,
A dark and inky core with a purple hue, this youthful nose displays darker fruit like plum, blackberry, and fig with tobacco, sage, and liquorice without any noticeable oak notes. The palate is on the fuller side, inky and dense young fruit with moderate ripeness, no sweet hints, and a well-defined freshness. Crushed plum and cassis flavours with a core of refreshing tannin—rather copious amounts of them but no hard edges— the finish is very long. Still, this youthful profile benefits from aeration or further ageing. Will be interesting to follow.
