Greece,
Peloponnese,
Quite deep colour here, dark ruby-red. However, it looks like it does have a certain evolution. The rim is slightly watery and tawny. The nose indicates some maturity as well. Lots of dark fruit here. Very much in the direction of let’s say blackcurrant, cassis, Cabernet-like with some leathery, tobacco scented notes. Full-bodied on the palate. Yet, with an addition of age. So it has rounded off the edges. There is still a quite high amount of tannins but they feel like they have melted a little bit. So it is a quite nice texture on the palate here. Still with a well-deserved dose of freshness. Slight hint of complexity. Quite long on the finish. Still with a good purity of fruit. Good level of maturity. Slight hint of complexity. Should keep for another eight to ten years in a good cellar, but should drink quite well today.
