Italy,
Piedmont,
Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby red, still a youthful hint of purple in there. Fine nose, some spicy notes. There’s a lot of dry spices in here, almost with some notes of orange zest, red cherry. The palate has medium weight, still with a youthful extract. The tannins are not hard, but they’re present. Fresh acidity. In terms of fruitiness, it’s quite attractive red cherry fruit, very juicy, with a good level of drinkability. In terms of structure it’s a medium weight, with good volume, but the length still has something to offer; it keeps lingering for a while, thanks to those tannins. There’s a slight hint of complexity on the finish in terms of that spiciness. A really nice example.
