Italy,
Piedmont,
Developed colour here, it is light ruby at the core, but starting to become a bit more orange and rusty. Pure nose. No indication of oak. Quite elegant fruit, again with these floral hints of rose petal violet, with sweet red fruit. Cherry and raspberry with a mild spiciness. Very attractive and juicy palate. It does have a good weight. Still rather youthful in terms of texture, but I think that the tannins are starting to integrate. Still present but finely grained. Very juicy and attractive fruit with sweet red cherry, raspberry, some mild spices such a clove white pepper and vanilla. Good levels of acidity and freshness. Long finish. Certainly a lingering wine. Still on the youthful side, but pretty much ready to drink I would say. And it should have a good ageing potential within the coming five, six years gaining a bit more roundness and harmony.
