José Maria da Fonseca – Periquita Reserva – 2015

Medium deep ruby red colour with a tawny rim. Modern nose with some new oak, plum, dark berries and leather. The palate is full bodied and generous with sweet ripe fruit, well integrated oak and rounded tannin, a slightly sweet character and spicy notes of clove and aniseed, rounded, plush and rather long finish. A nicely styled modern wine.
