Filari di Luna – Luna d’Argento – 2011
Barbaresco
Italy,
Piedmont,
Medium deep ruby red colour with an orange hue. The nose shows some maturity and complexity with some earth, smoke, spices and sweet red fruit. The palate is full and broad with a tannic backbone, still youthful but no hard edges, lush red fruit with tobacco, ginger and clove notes, long, warm and persistent finish. Could still lose some tannic grip on the palate but fairly drinkable with some layers and complexity today.
