Italy,
Piedmont,
Medium deep straw colour. Good brightness. A mousse that seems a certain age. Quite well-integrated bubbles. The nose is pure, with a hint of complexity and maturity. It is showing a lot of nuttiness here, like nougat, like crushed nuts. Some butter and toast. With a quite tropical fruit character, more like yellow stone fruit. Good grip on the palate here. Fine extract, with combining I think that lush fruitiness with the hints of yellow fruit, with some ripe citrus, a lot of hazelnut as well. It is medium-bodied, with quite nice flavour intensity. It is quite multi-layered. Lingering on the palate. Fine creaminess on the palate. Quite mild and integrated mousse. A long and lingering finish with a complex nutty and spicy notes. Very interesting. Certainly drinks well now. It has already reached a certain maturity but should have the structure to go on for a quite a few years.
