Dark and bright purple core with a lighter rim. Pure nose offering some new oak and toast with smoky notes, meaty dark fruit with black pepper, mint, sage and bay leaf. The palate shows high density and concentration, savoury dark berry flavours with cassis and blackberry, rounded yet present tannin, a fresh backbone, some oak-derived spice and a long vigorous finish.
