France,
Bordeaux,
Medium to high colour intensity. Still very youthful with more blue-purple than red notes. Pure nose quite sweet fruit more on the red fruity side, like wild raspberry, plum and also with a presence of wood, some new oak. But more woody then roasted I would say. Then add to that add some sweet spices like plum, ginger and a floral presence as well. Palate has mid-weight. In terms of texture, it is quite rounded and subtle. The tannins are rather mellow. I pick up some of that oakiness here, but rather vanilla then roasted hints. Quite attractive and juicy fruit, with plum, wild raspberry notes. I would say it is a quite elegant, classic, mid-weight style without any harshness or greenness. A bit marked by the oak at first, but I think it is much more integrated on the palate. With a medium towards long finish. Slightly lighter in texture, but quite elegant. It is certainly a wine that should reach its drinkability quite early.
