Dark garnet with a purple hue. Some new oak, ripe dark berries, cassis, leather and sage. Medium bodied palate, slightly restrained with a firm tannic presence, some leafy flavours with ripe dark berries, and a long finish. A classic style on the austere side that should develop from a few years in the cellar.
