France,
Bordeaux,
Youthful colour, dense ruby-purple. Fresh nose. Indicating a quite high degree of ripeness here with inky fruit in the direction of blackberry, cassis. A fresh hint of mint as well. Quite youthful so there is still a presence of roasted oak, but not in an obtrusive way. Good grip on the palate. It really exudes a lot of freshness. I like this combination of really inky dark fruit, but really well-balanced freshness and acidity. Tannins are already rounded, so there is a lot of extract here both in terms of acidity and tannin. The texture is really powdery and grainy. I would already call this quite subtle with really an emphasis on the juicy fruit. Very good drinkability. Good freshness. It is between the medium to full in terms of weight. Quite good flavour intensity. Truly enjoyable now, but should have the structure to go on for quite some time.
