France,
Bordeaux,
Red wine that has a medium towards deep ruby-red colour. Very elegant nose, displaying some hints of roasted coffee, fine oak, some of those coffee beans; then we have quite sweet and elegant fruit with notes of cassis and plum. Some fine spiciness as well. It is obviously young wine, but I think the aromatics are already offering a lot of pleasure. I like this palate. This is really what I would call a classic mid-weight structure, but it has that dense core of that fruit like that juicy, cassis, plum. We have that slight herbal spiciness; like sage, bay leaf and red currant, but really in terms of extraction, it is fine tannin, we have a good dose of freshness. It is not the most broad shoulder style, but more of the classic elegance with a good purity of flavour and really persistent, very good long finish. Still a youthful wine, doubtlessly, particularly on the palate. Still needs some time to gain some more roundness, but I like the aromatic complexity of this one, I like the finesse, the classic structure. A really fine and elegant style of wine.
