Mature ruby red colour with a tawny rim. Mature nose showing tobacco, wood dried cherry and spice notes. Medium weight on the palate, still a youthful texture starting to soften, rigid tannin, a fresh backbone with crushed red and dark fruit. Spicy and long finish. Should ideally get another 1-2 years of ageing to soften.
