France,
Bordeaux,
Medium deep ruby-red colour here. Fresh nose. Quite classic style with moderate ripeness. Low oak. More on the red fruity side with hints of red plum, red currant, a slight herbal presence as well. Medium weight on the palate, with a quite high acidity. Medium to high level of tannin. With juicy red fruit, and quite discreet oak as well. On the finish, I think the fruit is coming out a little bit more. In the end, the tannins are not that pronounced. So I would talk about a more restrained and classic style. That should certainly benefit from another few years in the cellar, or a through decantation before drinking it. However, I do think it is just about to start to open up right now. Fruit is pretty attractive on the finish, particularly with a rich and hearty dish it should show even better.
