Portugal,
Peninsula de Setubal,
Moderately deep colour here, ruby-red nuance. Generous nose, quite open here, with a lot of fresh fruit. Hints of freshly crushed berries, sweet plum, offering really ripe fruit, but laid back oak. There is also some I would say more traditional style here. More like old oak. There are some balsamic notes, some herbal notes, herbal spiciness. Medium weight on the palate. I think this is already quite rounded and subtle in terms of texture. Sure there are some tannin in the background, but I think it is showing some more roundness than some of the other quite tannic and dense examples. So attractive fruit, good drinkability. Quite long finish with a fine combination of sweet ripe fruit, with balsamic and herbal notes. Adding a nice touch of spice.
