Argentina,
Mendoza,
Red wine with a medium to high colour, starting to lose some intensity on the rim. The nose starts out quite traditional with some meaty and gamey notes, dried spices like anise seed, caraway and rather sweet fruit there some like plum, sweet plum, almost a hint of jam. The palate is generous, quite rounded. I found the nose being a bit more rustic with those gamey notes, but the palate is a bit more polished with a quite gentle tannin. It has a balanced freshness as well, backing up that sweet lush fruit. Rather medium long finish, with a bit more of that dried spiciness coming up like anise seed, caraway, pepper. So a quite traditional style with a good level of drinkability today.
