Argentina,
Patagonia,
Red wine with a medium, deep, ruby-red colour. Quite shy nose at first, it is displaying a mix of red and dark fruit; crushed berries, plum. There is a hint of oak, rather woody and vanilla scented than roasted. I also get some herbal leafy notes like bay leaf and cut grass. Palate has medium weight, with a marked freshness. It doesn't feel like an immensely ripe style. Rather on the red fruity side taste wise, with some plum. Quite rounded and lush in terms of fruitiness. Juicy fruit there, rather mild tannin, discreet oak. Quite good persistence. I suppose a wine that will develop more complexity from further cellaring, but it is showing pretty well today.
