Italy,
Trentino,
Very intense colour here. Almost opaque blue-purple. Nothing red in this so far, just rather blue. Fresh nose. Still quite youthful and restrained. There is a lot of dark fruit in here, like blackberry, blueberry, black cherry. No indication of oak really. It feels very young. Certainly like it needs some time to open up. Very dense palate. A lot of tannin. I wouldn’t say harsh because the tannins are still ripe, it is just probably its youth showing its side. Quite a massive structure now, again I would say unresolved. This is a wine with a lot of weight, very good length. A lot of fruit in there. It just needs a real through decantation to open up. Or preferably a few more years in the cellar to gain more complexity and layers. None the less, it is a fine example. It is just not showing its best sides today. So certainly a wine to put back in the cellar.
