Inky dark purple core. Dark fruit, modest ripeness with some leather and tobacco notes. The palate has a dense core, ripe dark fruit, cassis, leather with spicy sage and aniseed notes, good freshness and ripe tannin, and a long and lingering finish. Ambitious, still with present oak but good proportions, should develop well.
