Barbera d'Alba

Italy,
Piedmont,
Red wine with a medium-deep colour, still youthful with a hint of purple. Youthful nose, offering primary fruit, crushed berries, plum, a mild spiciness. No oak. Quite light on the palate with a rounded texture here, attractive juicy fruit, fresh acidity, very gentle tannin. There’s no oak here. There’s sweet dark plum, and we get spicy notes of ginger, orange peel on the finish. So a very attractive and rounded wine, to enjoy in its youth.
