Italy,
Piedmont,
Quite light colour intensity here. It is all rusty, rather tawny. Nothing red left in this one, orange on the rim. The nose has development, some complexity. Not a lot of primary fruit left here. More towards the dried and candied fruit. With hints of cherry and red berries. Some spicy notes of ginger and clove. No indication of oak. On the palate, it appears, slightly younger than on the nose. Still with a quite dense texture with a youthful tannin. Slightly elevated at present, none the less they should integrate quite well within the near future. It does have a good level of acidity and freshness. Fruitiness is well present with hints of red cherry, red berries. With that mild spiciness, vanilla and pepper. Finish is long lasting and persistent. A bit more complexity going on, on the finish, with spicy notes. So there are already layers and plenty of flavours there. I would prefer perhaps to drink it in one to three years, just to get rid a little bit of that tannic sensation. But obviously a wine with fine potential.
