Portugal,
Peninsula de Setubal,
Quite dark colour here with a deep core, dark ruby-red colouring the glass. Very fine nose here. Offering lush dark fruit. With notes of plum, blackberry, sweet, freshly crushed berries. A lot of spiciness going on as well, with hints of clove, sweet ginger, almost like apricot, some floral notes and a hint of smoke. Very attractive actually. Very nice palate here. It does have a high density, high concentration, but I think this has really gotten a nice roundness already. There are plenty of really fine tannin in the background, almost like cocoa powder. Really expressive here. With a fine combination of that lush dark fruit, with those spicy notes. Long lingering finish. Well preserved acidity. Finely integrated oak. I find this pretty delicious already it should certainly develop with grace. Full of character, full of spice and quite delicious.
